Description

For years, in his practice, Dr. Laing has been tabulating data on different dog foods and performing calculations to help him determine the appropriate amount for his clients to feed their dogs to achieve and maintain a healthy weight. For his work with the App Dr Laing has been awarded the Ontario Veterinary Medical Association Award of Merit for 2015.

Best Doggone Diet now automates the required calculations specific to your dog, and follows it through from WEIGHT LOSS to MAINTENANCE.

The APP is very user friendly.

You simply enter your dog’s picture, name, breed, sex, weight and diet.

With the aid of an interactive diagram, the App will help you determine if your dog is overweight.

From this assessment the App assigns your dog to either the WEIGHT LOSS program or the MAINTENANCE program.

THE WEIGHT LOSS PROGRAM

Once you enter your chosen food and any treats routinely given, the App calculates the appropriate daily serving size and displays a safe biweekly weight loss target rate.

As a safety precaution, the App also calculates the amount of protein your dog is receiving on the daily serving size of your chosen food to ensure that it meets your pet’s daily protein requirements.

If it does not, the App will recommend choosing a different food.

Based on regular Weigh-ins, the App monitors your dog’s weight loss, and makes adjustments every two weeks to the serving size to ensure that your dog loses weight at a safe rate.

Once your dog’s ideal body condition is achieved you switch from the Weight Loss Program to the Maintenance Program.

THE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM

Some dogs will start directly on the Maintenance Program.
You enter your dog’s favorite food as well as any routine treats and the App calculates the appropriate daily serving size.

The App adjusts the serving size to maintain your dog at its appropriate weight.

And, if you have more than one dog, the APP will follow as many as three dogs at one time.

So that’s it, an application that you can use with confidence, secure in the knowledge that you are doing your best for a faithful friend.
